The images for the Registry of Births, Marriages and Deaths database are not displayed!
The Java plug-in is absent or out of date on your computer. Installing the latest version will solve the problem. You can download it at this address:
http://www.java.com/fr/download/

Is it possible to reserve a place?
You cannot reserve a place in the reading room or for the microfilm readers or computers. Places are allocated as readers arrive (74 places in the reading room, 17 computers, 10 microfilm readers).

Which are the busiest days?
Everyday in the school holiday periods (all zones). If you have the choice, it is better to favour dates which avoid these days.

Can my luggage be accepted?
Yes as long as it is not too big. It is essential that it will fit into the cloakroom lockers. Maximum possible size = 76 cm H x 26 cm L x 42 cm D
Since the implementation of the Vigipirate Plan, no baggage, including cabin baggage, is allowed to ANOM

Can you provide change?
There is no change machine at the Archives Nationales d'Outre-Mer. The reader must have sufficient change to be able to load his/her photocopy card (delivered by a wall distributor). Reception does not keep any money.

Is it possible to reserve documents?
- If you have a valid reader card you can reserve 2 documents or find out about your requests in progress.
- If you already have a reader number but your card is no longer valid or you have taken advantage of a free pass you can reserve one document. You must regularise this situation on site before being able to consult this document.

My reservation request has been rejected!
For the request to be taken into account the communication code must be used as it is shown in the detailed inventory and not the reference number which starts with "FR ANOM".

When can registration fees be renewed?
In the afternoon from 1430 to 1530 in the reading room from the Administrator. Reception cannot take payments. When doing this in advance, payments by cheque sent by post are accepted (do not forget to mention your exact contact details and reader number). In this case, unless the reader specifies otherwise, the card will only be validated when he/she arrives.

Where can one stay in Aix-en-Provence?
The ANOM is not able to provide readers with addresses. For accommodation for researchers coming from a distance it is recommended that the Tourism Office in Aix-en-Provence is contacted:
http://www.aixenprovencetourism.com
e-mail: infos@aixenprovencetourism.com
Tel.: +33 (0)4-42-16-11-84 (reservation office)

I can't find you on the map... My GPS does not recognise this address....
The Chemin du Moulin de Testas is perpendicular to the Avenue R. Schuman. The Archives Nationales d'Outre-Mer is close to the Faculté de Lettres...this may be an easier marker for you.

Which bus should I take?
Coming from the centre of town or the SNCF station, the bus for the ANOM is Line No.6 – R. Schuman stop.
