Reader card

Three card types:

a provisional pass: free, valid for 1 day and renewable once during the year. It must be given back on the same day.
a temporary card valid for 7 consecutive days: 5€
an annual card: 20€

Free registration and exonerations

Free registration is granted on presentation of official proof:

to staff of the Ministry for Culture and Communication
to teachers and pupils of the Ecole Nationale des Chartes and the Institut National du Patrimoine
to staff of the national and French territorial Cultural Departments.

NB: Professors holding a chair are not eligible for free registration.

A 50% exoneration is granted to all students on presentation of official proof, either:

Annual card: 10 €
Temporary card: 2,50 €

NB: For this reason, free registration is not granted to PhD students.

Readers having already paid the registration fees to the Archives nationales (Paris and Fontainebleau sites) and to theArchives nationales du monde du travail (Roubaix) do not have to pay for registration at the ANOM.
